BANK COTTAGE at HOLLYBUSH
The setting of the cottage on the slopes of the Malvern Hills is extremely fortunate - here are some of the views.
Looking from one of the front bedrooms across the Severn Vale. (June 2005)
A winter scene greets the viewer, looking from the front twin bedroom.
(Feb 2004)
The scene is a bit different in Spring, with the sheep roaming across the common.
Glaurung the Dragon flew in from Stoke Lacey in July 2004 and has taken up permanent residence in the garden.

He measures over 3m to the wingtip and is about 4m long, not including the tail!

A frequent visitor in 2004 and 2005 was this vixen, keen to pick up any scraps for herself and for her cubs, of whom we have had the occasional brief sighting.

We have not seen her since, but have caught a glimpse of one of her cubs.
The view of Bank Cottage which first greets the visitor.
(summer 2004)
Two traction engines from the 2005 Eastnor Steam Rally pass the front of the cottage on their way up towards Midsummer Hill.
Glaurung required some veterinary attention in September 2005 when he damaged a wing.

We think it was in an argument with one of the RAF's Tornados which fly frequently across the Malvern Hills. He has been grounded now.

A mate has now flown in to join him but she is playing 'hard-to-get' and stays some distance away. He needs to work on his chat-up lines - 'Do you need a light?' being a little old-fashioned.
